As mentioned and promised in my previous review, attached is the picture of the cake which Amica made for me and the cake picture was mine. She had teh same cake design in one of her cake books as well as how to make the babies. I was in tears when I saw the cake! Will never use her again.

I ordered a cake from Amica and as per what I read on her website specially when it was mentioned as under: " In the early 80's, Amica learned the art of cake design from the designated Canadian designer for Princess Diana's wedding cake! " I was taken up by it and thought I was going to a very professional person to have a baby shower cake done. When I went for the cake tasting I asked her if she could make the white strawberry short cake and white vanilla raspberry cake a little more more moist as the cake that she gave me to taste was dry and she said that the cake is supposed to be that way. I did make a mention to her that I had never tasted these cakes and would like to taste her cake but I did taste both the cakes at a party and like it there but I chosed to go to her is because her website said the above which is quoted and also she has alot of experience in cakes (as again her website mentioned )and liked all her wedding cakes which were posted on the website. My cake was a 2 tier cake which had a moon sitting on top of th cake,a baby sleep next to the moon,2-3 stars near the moon and a few more babies sitting nearthe second tier of the moon.I will try to post a picture of the cake she made and the original pic. I checked with her if she could have the babies made on the cake and she said yes.I even informed her that this is a surprise baby shower fr my sister-in-law and the first baby in our home and I want teh cake to look very nice.She said do not worry. I was very very upset with the babies and the moon and stars as they were horrible.The babies looked like as if they were prematured babies( may be delivered on teh 6th month).There was no hard work put in those babies and also the stars and moon, very disappointing. The stars where shown like snow flakes, the moon was falling down when it came home at 2:00pm when my party was at 7:00pm(the moon was attached with tooth picks to keep it standing even though it was fully made of fondant).I had to take it early as she asked me to collect it early as she had delivery of wedding cakes at 5:00pm onwards.If I did not have the babies and stars and moon on the cake then I can say the cake was beautiful but my theme for the baby shower was twinkle twinkle little star and so I had to have that showing on the cake. She seems to be professional only at custom type of cakes. Overall I was not happy and I called and informed her about teh same.For a cake like that I felt I paid too much without the works.

We ordered an eggless cake from Amica and it was divine! It was moist which is hard to get and she had perfect suggestion for portions. She was on time delivering the cake and we would use her again for other occasions.

I've nere heard so much hype about a cake maker before, so we purchased an engagement cake from Amica. Our cake was dry and flavorless, and lacked the hype that EVERYBODY went on about. Personally I think the cakes from Loblwas & Costco taste a lot nicer! If I can give some advice... think twice before you buy a cake made in a house where children and complete strangers are running around. It may sound like I'm a germ-a-fobe but I think a custom cake should be made in a proper bakery.

We got our cake for our wedding reception and were very happy with the final result.. the cake was delicous, but was very plain, other then for the flowers she put on the cake. I was not happy with the pricing, as I felt a little ripped off when she didn't decorate the cake with any colour.. but overall, guests loved the fillings, and I would definitely use her again in the future.

Working with Amica was truly a pleasure. I gave her a picture of a cake I found off the Internet and asked her to make something similar. When I arrived at my reception I LOVED THE CAKE!! She did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend. Best part is that the cake is delivered/setup/decorated for you. One less hassle on your wedding day.

Amica provided my wedding cake and it was beautiful! She was on time and setup the cake very quickly, the guests thought the cake was delicious and her pricing is very fair for her excellent quality of work. As well, she is very nice to deal with so the process was very easy. I was looking for an eggless cake and she is one of few vendors that provide eggless wedding cakes; she even provided me a very generous sample of one of her eggless cakes. Definitely the vendor to use for cakes!

Amica made my wedding cake last year. My husband and I never told her exactly what we wanted, but we gave her a general description of what we liked. When we arrived at the reception we went in and looked at our cake - all I can say is WOW!!! To our amazement, there stood this beautiful unique wedding cake, with a fountain in the bottom and an array of 11 in total cascading cakes surrounding the fountain!!! Although I didn't tell her what I wanted, it was perfect, and in fact, it was just what I wanted!!!
